With the Electric Park Brake activated, the system prevents ‘rollback’ or ‘roll forward.’ The vehicle is held for as long as necessary and releases as soon as it senses that there is enough traction.
When the Caprice V-Series detects the vehicle is stationary on an incline and the Electric Park Brake is not activated. The ABS system will hold the vehicle in place for up to two seconds whilst the driver takes their foot off the brake and onto the accelerator.
