Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
ESC constantly compares the vehicle's movements with the steering wheel angle to determine if the vehicle is moving in the direction you intend. If skidding appears imminent, ESC applies brake pressure to individual wheels as appropriate, and, if necessary, trims engine power. This dramatically increases turning and cornering safety, especially in evasive action situations.
Front Passenger and Curtain Airbags
For maximum protection in certain frontal or side collisions, the Colorado has the ability to deploy front or full length side curtain airbags for both front and rear passengers according to impact severity.
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
If wheel 'lock up' is detected under forceful braking, ABS momentarily reduces brake pressure at the affected wheel(s). This improves braking efficiency.
Traction Control System (TCS)
Designed to maximise the vehicle’s stability on wet and icy roads, TCS detects if either driven wheel has insufficient grip, and adjusts drive force and brake force according.
Rugged Body
Colorado is built tough from within. Its body and frame are constructed from high strength steel and incorporates full-length frame rails. A safety cell gives maximum protection in a frontal or side collision - and maximum peace of mind for you and your passengers.
