Available with your choice of engine, it features Active Shift Control, which monitors the way you drive and adapts shift ranges accordingly, and Active Select, which lets you switch to manual gear shifting for a more 'hands on' driving experience.

Active All Wheel Drive *
The Captiva 5 Active All Wheel Drive System automatically divides engine torque between the front and rear wheels, depending upon driving conditions. The moment the vehicle's sensors detect a situation where four wheel drive would be preferable, up to 50% of engine torque is directed to the rear wheels. As a result, the vehicle's full power is transferred to the road, even in tight corners, during hill starts or on slippery surfaces, such as wet or icy roads.
