You may not notice Series II Caprice’s advanced safety technology when driving, but rest assured, it’s watching over your every moment behind the wheel.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC constantly compares the vehicle's movements with the steering wheel angle to determine if the vehicle is moving in the direction you intend.

Anti-locked Braking System (ABS)

If wheel 'lock up' is detected under forceful braking, ABS momentarily reduces brake pressure at the affected wheel(s). This improves braking efficiency.

Brake Assist (BA)

BA is designed to sense how fast you press the brake pedal in an emergency, and maximises braking pressure to optimise braking performance.

6 Airbags

For maximum protection in certain frontal collisions, Caprice will deploy front airbags for the driver and passenger. Side impact airbags and side curtain airbags provide protection for passengers in certain side-on collisions.

5 Star ANCAP rating

Caprice has been independently assessed by the Government-endorsed Australiasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). After internationally recognised crash tests and analysis, every model in the range earned the maximum 5-star ANCAP safety rating. See ANCAP Pole test video.
