Audio
When listening to Navigation voice guidance, you may have adjusted the volume for this using the VOLUME dial (quicker than going through the NAV/Config screen menu). When the voice guidance ends, the audio source volume takes priority and may need re-adjusting.
If the second key is present within a minute of the first key being used the second key's priority settings will not be available.
Auxiliary Jack
No. However if your device supports charging via USB, we recommend using the USB port. Alternatively, use the auxiliary power socket in the centre armrest console.
Bluetooth® Music
It depends on the device you're using. Some rely on the media player being switched on again before they will resume streaming. A display on the Holden-iQ touch-screen will advise users whether their device needs to be switched to media player to continue streaming once the ignition is turned back on.
Some devices rely on the media player being switched on using device controls before they will Bluetooth® stream. If this is the case with yours, an advisory message "Start media player from phone" will display on the Holden-iQ touch-screen.
Bluetooth® Phone
It lets you transfer a call to your phone handset to allow privacy - and the function can be used when you or a passenger exit the vehicle during a call.
Check out www.holden.com.au/ownersinfo.
It depends on the device you're using. Refer to the Bluetooth® compatibility list on holden.com.au (Owners Info section) to see if the device supports this feature.
Pressing the Phone button on the steering wheel is the quickest way to answer a call. You may also answer an incoming call by pressing the Phone button (flanking touch-screen) and then touching the green phone icon on the screen.
It depends on your device. Refer to Bluetooth® and Device compatibility list on holden.com.au (Owners Info section). Not all phones support this feature.
You need to touch and hold the "0" phone button key until it changes to a "+" character.
Yes. If your phone is paired wirelessly via Bluetooth®, music will mute while you're on the phone.
The use of unauthorised software on mobile phones is not recommended. There is no guarantee that your device will operate according to specification.
This is a device-dependent issue. You need to accept an auto-connection on your phone to ensure that it authorises the Holden-iQ system. Refer to Bluetooth® compatibility list on holden.com.au (Owners Info section).
This message will appear when you have lost the phone signal in your current location. Phone pad buttons are also locked out when this happens.
It depends on the device you're using. Some rely on the media player being switched on again before they will resume streaming. A display on the Holden-iQ touch-screen will advise users whether their device needs to be switched to media player to continue streaming once the ignition is turned back on.
This control function is not supported by the iPhone® when Bluetooth® Streaming.
You will only hear an SMS alert tone when your device is in Bluetooth® audio streaming mode or connected via USB.
Yes, the contact list is read directly from the phone. Touching the Refresh button should allow the update to be reflected on the Holden-iQ touch-screen.
This is device-dependent. Refer to Bluetooth® compatibility list on holden.com.au (Owners Info section). Some devices require a phone reset to regain full operation. Please see your phone owners manual on how to reset your specific device.
It will impact phone features like phonebook syncronisation, but it will not impact Bluetooth® audio streaming.
It has to do with the device you're using. Some phones use a unique Bluetooth format.
CD Storage
This is because you have exceeded the available limit, which is 18 characters.
No. You can't play the CD until it is ripped, but you can play other stored CDs during the process and you can listen to all other audio sources.
DVD
No. Only while the car is stationary. When driving, the front screen is locked out.
iPod® /iPhone®
This is a device-dependent issue to do with the iPhone®. Refer to Bluetooth® and Device compatibility list on holden.com.au (Owners Info section).
You may be using a non-standard cable connection. We recommend the use of authorised USB connections. Recommend also to toggle away from USB/iPod® source before disconnecting device.
Yes. If your iPhone® is paired wirelessly via Bluetooth®, music will mute while you're on the phone.
This is a device-dependent issue and may have happened if there were other phones in the vicinity of the Holden-iQ system. Second attempt recommended.
It has to do with differences between iPod® models (e.g. some playlists are sorted alphabetically, others are not) - and also with iPod® connections to USB and Bluetooth® streaming. Refer to Bluetooth® and Device compatibility list on holden.com.au (Owners Info section).
This control function is not supported by the iPhone® when Bluetooth® Streaming.
Some iPods® respond faster than others during browsing. Earlier generation models in particular (iTouch 1/2G, iPhone 1/2/3G) are quite slow. Response time also seems to be slower if the iPod® contains a high number of songs.

Navigation
The Optimum Route preference is calculated based on estimated travel distance and estimated travel time with a balance of 50% driving distance and 50% driving time.
Auto zoom is the priority function and will override the manual zoom feature when nearing intersections.
Sometimes planned roadworks are logged into Traffic Message Channel data and then postponed without the data being updated. Refer to SUNA traffic website for further information. www.sunatraffic.com.au
Because there is no street information when you're off-road, the arrow will point to the road (exit point) closest to your direction of travel.
This happens when the traffic avoidance feature has been set to 'manual'. On 'automatic' (the default setting), Navigation takes you by a quicker, less congested route, where available, without requesting re-route authorisation. To switch the feature on or off: press NAV, touch Nav Config, touch Traffic Management Settings, select either Auto or Manual, touch Back to save settings.
When listening to Navigation voice guidance, you may have adjusted the volume for this using the VOLUME dial (quicker than going through the NAV/Config screen menu). When the voice guidance ends, the audio source volume takes priority and may need re-adjusting.
Check out www.sunatraffic.com.au
Green text indicates strong GPS reception. Red screen text indicates limited or no GPS reception, which will not necessarily affect guidance. In many circumstances the Navigation system will continue to guide you along a mapped route, using various vehicle sensors and map data, until good GPS reception is received.
If there are no alternatives, based on current traffic conditions, there may be no other option but to route through traffic. For more information on the Traffic Message Channel, go to www.sunatraffic.com.au.
All warnings and alerts are high priority events and will overwrite other functions. We recommend entering destinations while stationary.
Map appearance is a configurable setting. By default, the system automatically changes the background colour and brightness of the MAP screen depending on the light intensity outside the vehicle. This setting can be changed to manually select "day" or "night" mode in the Navigation Configuration menu. Note: You can also also adjusts the brightness of the radio display manually. This option can be configured via the Radio Configuration menu.
Radio
No, Autostored stations supplement your saved favourites in a separate "Autostore" list. This feature can be useful when travelling to an area with different radio stations. Autostore can be use to capture the five strongest radio stations in your current location.
It has to do with the strength of the radio signal and typically happens as the signal becomes weaker.
USB Port
It depends on how many files are stored and what type they are. Access is quicker if you load music-only files onto your USB drive.
Copy-protected files are not transmitted via USB cable from the phone to the Holden-iQ system. This prevents the copying of files to another device.
The use of these card readers and USB Hubs is not recommended due to high current draw on the vehicle's electrical system.
