Our Business
Engineering
Holden Engineering is a world-class facility employing hundreds of talented people. Working in collaboration with Marketing and Design, Engineering leads the design, develop and validation of products for domestic and international markets. A focus on disciplined, quality engineering combining a wide range of different technologies, along with our commitment to the development of our people has provided the foundation for the success of our company.
HVO - Manufacturing
Based in South Australia, Holden's Vehicle Operations produce 42 models from four vehicle body styles for domestic and export customers. For the Australian market, the facility produces the Commodore range of sedans, Sportwagon and Ute together with Caprice and Statesman long-wheel base luxury vehicles.
HVO includes a press plant and metal assembly operation, body hardware facility, paint shop, plastics operation, body assembly and vehicle assembly operations. From 2011 the Adelaide plant will also begin production of the Cruze, a new small fuel efficient global vehicle, which has also helped grow Holden's expertise in small vehicle engineering and manufacturing.
Design
GM Holden Design is one of the most advanced automotive studios in the world, designing and developing product, not only for Australia but the world market. A highly skilled and specialised team has effectively combined the use of the latest virtual design tools and processes to create world class designs reflected in our show cars and also the increasing penetration into the GM Global Portfolio.
Finance
Holden Finance provides high quality services, proactive strategic decisions, business risk management and control support - and that means we need people who enjoy the excitement and stimulation that goes with working in an environment that never stands still. The sheer scale and complexity of GM Holden operations means you'll never be short on variety and flexibility as a member of our dedicated Finance department
HR
The HR department at Holden is a key player in strategic business development. IT
Holden's Information Technology (IT) department manages the responsibility for the acquisition, development, deployment and operation of all information systems. This includes computers, software, websites, databases, networks and telecommunications. They are responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose, cost effective computer systems and supporting IT infrastructure to meet GM Holden's business requirements.
Sales and Marketing
Holden Sales and Marketing is a diverse function bound by a common thread: our customers. Our role is to maximise the appeal of Holden products and work with our Dealers to make sure the vehicle ownership experience is completely satisfying, from the moment the customer enters the showroom to the day they trade their much-loved vehicle for a new Holden.
GPSC
In Global Purchasing & Supply Chain (GPSC) we are responsible for procuring all goods and services used by Holden in four of our global business regions. Our team has a wide variety of responsibilities, which include obtaining direct and indirect materials, machinery, equipment and services from our global external supplier networks to provide crucial support to all facets of Holden.
