Activities involving energy and water consumption, materials recycling and the reduction of trade waste and chemicals use are constantly monitored and substantial reductions in water, energy and waste have been achieved.
Facilities
GM Holden is Australia's largest manufacturer of vehicles, engines and components, with operations located in South Australia and Victoria.
GM Holden has approximately 4500 employees. It has produced more than seven million vehicles since the first Holden sedan was launched in 1948 and is an internationally competitive exporter of vehicles and engines to diverse markets.
Major GM Holden operating facilities are located at Fishermans Bend (technical centre, administration and engine manufacturing plant), Dandenong (spare parts operation) and Lang Lang (automotive proving ground) in Victoria; as well as Elizabeth (vehicle manufacturing plant) in South Australia.
