Commodore Calais V-Series Sportwagon in Alchemy
When crafting the most advanced vehicle ever created in Australia, safety was at the forefront of our vision. New smart technologies keep you better informed, enhanced passive safety to avoid hazards and if the unthinkable were to happen greater active safety help minimise the impact.
Head-Up display projects important cluster information on the windscreen like the speedometer, tachometer, GPS turn-by-turn and indicator signals minimising distraction from the road.

Hill starts are a breeze and you will never have to second guess how far up you need to pull the lever handbrake on a steep incline. Set the park brake at the flick of a button and accelerate to release. Simple.
An array of safety technologies that you will hopefully never need to use have been employed to help minimise the impact in a collision situation.
With the Electric Park Brake activated, the system prevents ‘rollback’ or ‘roll forward.’ The vehicle is held for as long as necessary and releases as soon as it senses that there is enough traction.
When the Commodore detects the vehicle is stationary on an incline and the Electric Park Brake is not activated. The ABS system will hold the vehicle in place for up to two seconds whilst the driver takes their foot off the brake and onto the accelerator.
The Commodore integrates ISOFIX child restraint anchorage technology – now considered to be the world standard - in each of the three rear seating positions.
Seatbelt warnings in every seat of each VF Commodore notify the driver if any occupants in the vehicle do not have their seatbelt fastened.
